Data Analysis and Reporting Tool (DART)

DART is the Data Analysis and Reporting Tool. DART fundamentally organises data captured from FabWorks-iMS and produces easy to read reports detailing key information about the Fab. This information can then be used to optimise the equipment set-ups and decrease system down times. DART now comes as standard with FabWorks-iMS.

DART offers:

  • View parameter data
  • Management reporting
  • Archive management
  • Personal preference selection (units)

DART is supplied and set up on the main monitoring server as detailed below. This means all the DART reporting can be accessed (as with FabWorks-iMS) over the customer’s Local Area Network (LAN) or (if agreed) by way of a remote connection (a modem or a secure Internet connection).

DART Functions

The major functions of DART will now be highlighted.

1. Parameter Viewing

With parameter viewing the user can select a specific time frame, which may be a month or week or day. The type of equipment is then selected for viewing. The system will then automatically generate a graphical summary of the selected system(s) status during the time frame highlighted as seen below.

The colour denotes the status of the equipment where

Green = operation satisfactory with no alerts registered
Amber = at least one warning was registered
Red = at least one alarm was registered
Lilac = at least one advisory state registered

Parameter surges and dips can also be highlighted. A surge is a condition where the parameter value is actually slightly higher than the normal value but does not achieve a warning status. A Dip is a condition where the parameter value is slightly lower than the normal value, but does not meet the lower warning criteria. This means that potential issues can be forecasted before an alert condition is encountered, very useful for preventative servicing.

Magenta = Surge condition
Cyan = Dip condition

Each piece of equipment can then be selected and the separate parameters viewed and plotted as trend graphs or tables if necessary

.Management Reporting

It is simple to produce management reports using DART. The report can then be simply exported into many different formats such as Excel or Word. At present there are several preset reporting options as seen below.

The preferred format is selected.

DART-P & Predictive Diagnostics
There is now a new module DART-P that offers predictive capabilities ( See article. ). It should however be noted that this is not a simple "add-on" or "plug-in" software module, rather it is provided as part of a service. This is because the module needs to be tailored to individual customer processes - and consequently a collaborative project needs to be worked out for each individual installation.
